What You'll Do/Need

 

The External Staff Appraiser Trainee position is an entry level position and requires successful completion of initial training. Additional training may also be required as deemed necessary by your Supervisory Appraiser, Team Leader, or Director.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with your supervisory appraiser, leaders, and support team to prepare valuations
  • Perform property inspections with and without the supervisory appraiser
  • Assist the supervisory appraiser in preparing appraisal reports
  • Conduct market research to establish trends in the real estate market
  • Measure and sketch homes on mobile appraisal software 

 

 

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work with a team as well as individually
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Good work ethic and committed to winning
  • Provide great client service
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology and software
  • Already has a trainee license or is currently in the process of obtaining their trainee license. If in the process, trainee license must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment
  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain the minimum production standards for trainees as outlined in the compensation plan
  • The trainee candidate must maintain their appraisal log and education hours in order to qualify for their certification and be in compliance with the State
  • Understand and follow all regulation and standards in the development and reporting of assignment results
